On July 1, 2017, Olivia & Kate opened its boutique doors for the first time in Haarlem's nicest street. Due to great success, our webshop followed within 3 months, www.olivia-kate.nl. Our webshop is now growing into one of the fastest growing webshops in the Netherlands. We are immediately looking for a colleague for our team! You are a fashionista through and through and are addicted to social media. You are bursting with new ideas and know how to convert campaigns into cool concepts in our corporate identity.

 

Are you creative, trend-sensitive and do you dream of seeing your ideas come to life in a real collection? Olivia & Kate is looking for an enthusiastic fashion designer intern to join our design team!

What are you going to do?

Design & creation
• Support in creating mood boards and color combinations
• Developing sketches and technical drawings (Adobe Illustrator)
• Thinking about and co-designing new collections
• Think about prints, details, fits and finishes

Product development
• Drawing up tech packs and design sheets 
• Assist in assessing samples and processing feedback
• Assisting with fitting sessions and recording/processing adjustments
• Maintain contact with suppliers about samples and delivery times

Trend research
• Identifying trends on social media, street scene and catwalk
• Gather inspiration in the field of fabrics, colors and styling

General support
• Manage and organize fabrics and materials
• Help with brainstorms, presentations or photo shoot preparations
• Support in the daily ins and outs of the creative team

Who are you?

• You are following an MBO or HBO course in fashion design
• You are creative, sensitive to trends and like quick changes
• You enjoy working in a young, energetic team and have an eye for detail
• You have experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Excel and Word
• You live in (the vicinity of) Haarlem and can work on location
• You are preferably available for 6 months

  • Start date: immediately
  • Internship allowance of 250 euros per month
